The property management difference

TI work represents a fair share of our construction business. Sophisticated clients require spaces to be completed in very short time frames. A thoughtful and diligent property manager makes all the difference in the world.

My most recent assignments have me at towers in downtown Boston. I’ve done a lot of work in these buildings in the past and was thrilled to hear I would be going back. I deal on a daily basis with the property manager, assistant property manager, the director of engineering, director of security, dock master, and the many and varied people in their charge.

Tower work is challenging to say the least. It presents you with a variety of challenges: getting material in and up, debris down, and working so as not to disturb the existing tenants to name a few. Having a property management team that understands this dynamic is a blessing. It makes my job infinitely easier. What I find most helpful is keeping an open and courteous dialogue with everyone on the team. No one likes surprises, least of all the management staff that has clients, tenants, vendors and others to deal with and please on a daily basis.

Ask any professional across spectrum of our industry and they will tell you the same thing. Excellence in property management should be recognized. The leaders of first class service for TI construction professionals in the City of Boston reside at these towers.
