Manufacturing jobs are returning  to the US as companies realize that innovation is boosted when R&D and the assembly line fall under the same roof.

Who then is coming home? Here are a few examples. 

Chesapeake Bay Candle is shifting its production from China to Maryland due to rising labor costs abroad and slow response to customers.

Ford is moving its operation from Mexico to Ohio and Michigan because of new and lower wage requirements by trade unions.

GE is taking its production from China and Mexico to US locations in order to unify under the same policy umbrella and shorten response time.
