20 years of “Living United”

Live unitedLast Thursday marked the 20th anniversary of the United Way’s Annual Real Estate and Building Industry Leadership Breakfast

This year’s event drew 1,200 bleary-eyed attendees on the morning after the Sox won the World Series. It featured a keynote address by outgoing BRA Director Peter Meade. Real estate leaders Ron Druker and Tom Hynes sat down with moderator Tom Palmer to discuss their careers. Did you know that Ron was an all star in the Red Sox Fantasy Camp? Both he and Tom were instrumental in the inaugural United Way RE Breakfast founded by Kevin Phelan and the late Ed Sidman. Since its humble beginning in 1994, the event has raised over $33 million.

Our Jones Lang LaSalle fundraising campaign raised significant funds for both the United Way and partner agency Junior Achievement. Colleagues Ben Heller and Brendan Callahan serve as board members for the United Way and Junior Achievement respectively.

Thanks to all of those who helped JLL rank as a top fundraiser again this year!
