BO_2017_BPTW_sq_200x200At JLL New England, we achieve ambitions – for our clients, our people, and our communities. That’s our promise, built on our strengths and ambitions. We recognize that our business is built on people and we’re committed to helping each and every one of our employees achieve their own ambitions. Our brand values of teamwork, ethics, and excellence represent who we are and what we do. We are proud of our innovative and entrepreneurial spirit and even more proud to have created a rewarding, challenging, and fun place to work.

To that end, we are thrilled to announced that we have once again been named a Boston Business Journal Best Place to Work. We are one of 10 companies being recognized in the large company category for the second year in a row.

From giving back to the community, to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, to recognizing top performers, and celebrating our culture, we truly believe we are among Boston’s best places to work.

This award is not something we take lightly as we recognize it is not only further validation of our efforts, but also, we hope, an indicator of future achievements. We asked some of our key stakeholders to elaborate on what this award means for JLL.

Being a Best Place to Work strengthens our ability to provide best-in-class service to clients
Our clients place an enormous amount of trust in us to advise them in their real estate strategies. In turn, we need to provide creative and innovative guidance for those clients. We’ve been successful in doing this because our philosophy has been to hire the best people and provide any resource possible to help them learn and grow. Our clients recognize that we value the next generation of leaders and they benefit from the “best idea wins” mentality that is part of our DNA. If we hire the hardest working people with unwavering integrity, who all buy into a common vision, and stand loyal to our clients and to one another, we will continue to provide outstanding results for our clients. This is only made possible when we establish a culture of success that our employees value.

Being a Best Place to Work reinforces our commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace
Our Women’s Business Network is one way that we have not only exhibited our commitment to diversity, but also set our organization apart in this regard. As the Chair of our local WBN chapter, I have interacted with so many amazing women at JLL. I have heard their stories, each one different and unique, and it is clear that JLL has truly created an environment that supports and values every employee, regardless of gender, across all levels and all business lines. We are excited to continue to help the female leaders in our organization grow and be successful here at JLL.

Being a Best Place to Work fosters our ability to recruit and retain the best talent in the business
A positive, innovative and collaborative culture sells! It also significantly boosts employee engagement and satisfaction. Potential new talent should consider longevity when making decisions on employers of choice and the fact that we have been recognized with this honor two years in a row shows we have a proven track record of success. To stand out in a city with many large organizations says a lot. For me personally, I’m proud to work at an organization recognized for its commitment to its employees.

Congrats to all of this year’s Boston Business Journal’s Best Places to Work. We look forward to celebrating with you on June 22nd!
