The name Endurance International Group might not sound familiar to you but we bet its many high profile brands will. From Bluehost to HostGator, Constant Contact and more, Endurance provides small business owners with the tools they need to establish and build their web presence, get found in online search, and connect with customers through social media, email marketing, and more.

Just last week, the company was named a 2017 Best Place to Work by Great Place to Work. That shouldn’t come as a huge surprise seeing as how their space was designed with their employees in mind. From open collaborative areas to a highly visible chalkboard wall and coffee bar, “the office is an extension of the company’s culture” according to Ryan Buckley, Senior Director of Customer Operations at Endurance.

His company is part of a growing trend of technology organizations calling the suburbs, and in particular, Burlington, home. Netscout, 128 Technology, Black Duck Software, Philips, and Charles River Technology are just a few of the others. For Endurance, Burlington, which had been home to their previous office, proved to be the perfect place for their continued growth.

“We opted to stay in Burlington not only because there were people located in Burlington, but also because it’s a great spot especially with the population we have here which tends to be a mix of people living in the suburbs and living in Boston,” said Buckley.

Like many technology companies, a key selling point for Endurance was space to expand, and that they have. After starting on the third floor, the company expanded to half of the second floor, then the other half of the second floor, and is now undertaking a construction project to build out the first floor.

According to Buckley, “We’ve been able to grow progressively throughout this building which has made it very easy for us. We’re not committed to taking huge chunks of space all at one time. We’ve had the ability to grow in this building as the company’s grown.”
