Helping to improve tomorrow’s future leaders

Our New England Women’s Business Network recently teamed up with the Boston Chapter of Girls on the Run, a non-profit aimed at inspiring girls to be “joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.”

We were partnered with the girls at St. John Paul II in Dorchester as they prepared for and raced in the annual Girls on the Run 5K. From supplying the girls with running gear to writing letters of encouragement and cheering them on at their practice race, it all led up to the bi-annual 5K at Avery Elementary School on December 3rd.

We were happy to serve as enthusiastic cheerleaders at the race, helping to support the girls and keep up the energy as more than 1,000 participants in total ran past us on brisk winter’s morning. It was great to see how far the runners had come and exciting to know that we played a small role in their success.
