For the past three years, our property management team at Hasbro, Inc. has had the honor of participating in the company’s annual Hasbro Global Day of Joy. Every December, Hasbro empowers all of its employees worldwide to spend the day volunteering in their local communities in order to bring holiday cheer to children in need.
For the second year in a row, we teamed up with Hasbro Design Studio to assist with minor renovations to a local school in efforts to promote higher education. City Year is an organization that works to bridge the gap in high-poverty communities between the support students actually need and what their schools are designed and resourced to provide. This year, we partnered with the Gilbert Stuart Middle School in Providence to manage the design and reconfiguration of enhancements to their space.
“We delivered a new and improved space for the City Year team to work their magic and we have certainly impacted the lives of all the children that will benefit from the space,” expressed Sue Taylor, Director at Hasbro.
Taylor also shared her gratitude for our contributions to the space, “we are so appreciative for all the support you provided for this year’s Global Day of Joy. You were amazing. So much effort goes into making a day like ours successful and we wouldn’t have been able to do it without you.”
Hasbro’s Global Day of Joy is a very rewarding event, and we are already looking forward to next year’s volunteering effort. Check out some photos, including a few before and after shots, from our day at the Gilbert Stuart Middle School:
